Benbrook resident Greg Clem is raising new concerns about flood preparedness and emergency access tied to the Trinity Estates Phase 4 development.
Clem recently contacted city officials requesting written confirmation that the Benbrook Fire Chief had reviewed and approved the emergency response plans for Timberline Drive, the neighborhood’s only access road.
According to a response from Beth Fischer, City Secretary and Chief Governance Officer, no written confirmation from the Fire Chief’s office currently exists validating approval of flood mitigation or emergency response measures for the area.
Clem’s inquiry follows ongoing resident concerns about potential flooding along Timberline, where projected water levels could reach between 2.5 and 3.5 feet during major storm events. He emphasized the need for transparency and documentation regarding how emergency access and public safety are being safeguarded as new development continues.

Residents continue to monitor the issue closely, urging city leaders to prioritize flood safety and infrastructure accountability before further development progresses.
