Benbrook Firefighter Earns Black Shield Milestone.

The Benbrook Fire Department is celebrating another important achievement in its ranks.

Firefighter G. Miller has officially earned his black shield, joining fellow firefighter J. Gutierrez in reaching this proud milestone.

The black shield marks the transition from rookie status to a full-fledged firefighter, a recognition that comes with both respect and responsibility. While some lighthearted “rookie chores” may linger, the honor represents months of hard work, training, and dedication to serving the community.

Residents are encouraged to congratulate Firefighter Miller when they see him around town. His accomplishment is not just a personal victory but also a reminder of the commitment Benbrook’s first responders bring to keeping the community safe.
