YMCA Welcomes New Membership and Fitness Director.

A familiar community gathering place is welcoming a new face to its leadership team.

The Benbrook Community Center YMCA has announced that Jake Minnis will join the organization as its new Membership and Fitness Director, with his first day set for Monday, June 22.

Minnis brings more than 15 years of experience in recreation and wellness, including nearly a decade with the University of Arizona Campus Recreation Department. Throughout his career, he has focused on developing programs, supporting staff, and creating positive experiences for the communities he serves.

Minnis, an Oklahoma native, and his wife, Allison, are parents of two sons and share a passion for sports, the outdoors, and active living.

YMCA leaders say Minnis is committed to leadership development and community impact, making him a strong addition to the Benbrook team. As summer activities ramp up, members can expect to see him helping support programs, connecting with families, and continuing to strengthen the YMCA’s role in the community.
