Benbrook police responded to reports of a damaged SUV near the Sexton water tower shortly after noon Monday, October 12.
According to dispatch information reported by CrimeRadar.app, officers were checking two separate concerns in the area of Stoneleigh Drive and Wandering Way.
The first involved a boat reportedly left on Wandering Lane for several weeks. The second involved a wrecked black GMC Acadia spotted near the water tower.
Officers cleared the boat report but continued searching for the damaged SUV.
It’s unclear how the SUV was damaged, whether it was abandoned, or if officers eventually located it.
