Before Westpark students take their first steps into a new school year, their families and neighbors are invited to leave a little encouragement along the way.
The Westpark Wildcats PTA is hosting “Chalk the Walk” at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, outside Westpark Elementary. Participants will cover the front walkway with colorful messages welcoming students back for their first day of school.
No registration is needed, and chalk and popsicles will be provided. Just show up with a little creativity and something encouraging to say. A few pieces of chalk. A few kind words. A brighter first day for Westpark Wildcats.
