Westpark Wildcats Cast Off for Second Annual Fishing & Franks at Dutch Branch Park.

Grab your fishing pole and your favorite fishing buddy—it’s almost time for Westpark Elementary’s Second Annual Fishing & Franks event.

Hosted by the Westpark PTA and Wildcat Guard, this free, family-friendly afternoon of outdoor fun is set for Saturday, November 8, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Dutch Branch Park Duck Pond in Benbrook.

Open to Westpark students and their fathers, father figures, or guardians, the event promises a relaxed afternoon of fishing, food, and fellowship. Hot dogs, drinks, and cookies will be served courtesy of Wildcat Guard and Stoic Barbershop.

Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, snacks, and fishing poles, though a limited number of loaners and worms will be available on-site. No fishing license is required for adults or children, thanks to a Texas Parks & Wildlife exemption.
