It was a perfect fall afternoon at Dutch Branch Park Pond as families from Westpark Elementary gathered for the Wildcat Guard Fishing & Franks event on November 8. The turnout was strong, the fish were biting, and the smell of grilled franks filled the air.
Hosted by the school’s Wildcat Guard and supported by the Westpark PTA, the event gave families a chance to slow down, share laughs, and enjoy a bit of friendly competition along the water’s edge.
A special thanks went to The Stoic Barbershop for sponsoring the food that kept everyone fueled throughout the day. It was community at its best—neighbors connecting and kids discovering the simple joy of fishing.
