Western Hills High School is adding another new face to its athletics program with the arrival of Coach Alex Castillo as assistant football and baseball coach.
A graduate of Texas Christian University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree magna cum laude, Castillo also served in the United States military before beginning his career in education. He says those experiences helped shape the values of discipline, leadership, and integrity that he now brings into the classroom and onto the field.
A former four-sport varsity athlete in football, basketball, baseball, and track, Castillo hopes to pass along the lessons of teamwork, perseverance, and dedication that influenced his own journey.
Outside of school, Castillo enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, and serving others through his faith. As he begins his first year at Western Hills, he says he looks forward to building meaningful relationships with students while helping them grow both academically and athletically.
The Cougars continue to round out their coaching staff as preparations for the upcoming school year and fall sports season get underway.
