Not every school day ends with homework. Sometimes, it ends with a spotlight.
Western Hills High School is bringing back its 4th Annual Cougar Idol, and students with a talent to share are being invited to step forward and take their shot at the stage.
Auditions will be held on Monday, May 4, at 3:45 p.m. in Choir Room 1403. Students can sign up ahead of time using the provided link, or simply show up on audition day. No pre-registration is required.
Whether it is singing, dancing, playing an instrument, or showcasing a unique talent, Cougar Idol is designed to give students a chance to be seen and heard beyond the classroom.
Only 12 acts will be selected to move on to the final performance, which will take place on May 15 during the fourth period in the Western Hills Auditorium.
For many students, opportunities like this become more than just a performance. They build confidence, create memories, and remind students that school can be a place where creativity matters too.
Mr. Glass encouraged students to come prepared and ready to perform, with one simple message: if you think you have talent, now is the time to show it.
Sometimes all it takes is one audition to surprise even yourself.
