Western Hills Senior Bella Fierro Shines in Lubbock Golf Showdown.

Benbrook’s own Bella Fierro turned heads and made history over three unforgettable days on the fairways at Shadow Hills Golf Course in Lubbock, delivering back-to-back career-best performances that had everyone talking.

It all started bright and early Sunday morning with a road trip from Farrington Field and a full 18-hole practice round that set the stage for the competition. Monday brought fierce conditions—cool and windy in the morning, hot and gusty by afternoon—but Bella rose to the occasion, slicing six strokes off her previous district score. The highlight? A jaw-dropping 40-foot putt on hole 14 that found its mark and made par.

But she wasn’t done. On Tuesday, Bella hit another gear, beating her Monday score by four more strokes. With sharp approach shots and clutch putts all day long, she capped off her run with a performance full of focus, finesse, and grit.

More than just numbers on a scorecard, Bella earned high praise from fellow coaches for her sportsmanship and positivity, representing Western Hills High School and Fort Worth ISD with style, class, and a winning spirit.

Western Hills and the Benbrook community couldn’t be prouder. Way to go, Bella!
