Western Hills Golfers Finish First and Second at Rockwood.

A pair of Western Hills High School golfers gave Cougar fans something to celebrate this week.

On March 10, Kiana Safar and Kristal Gonzalez competed at Rockwood Golf Course and finished the day at the top of the leaderboard. Safar earned first-place medalist honors, while Gonzalez followed closely behind with a second-place medalist finish.

Both athletes turned in strong rounds and showed steady improvement throughout the course, reflecting the focus and discipline that golf demands from start to finish.

Their performance comes as the Western Hills golf team approaches an important stretch of the season. The Cougars will wrap up regular-season play later this week before heading into the District Tournament scheduled for April 1 and April 2.

For local sports fans in Benbrook and southwest Fort Worth, it is another reminder that Cougar athletes continue to represent their school well across a variety of sports.
