The first days of school bring new routines, and Western Hills Elementary is asking families to know where to go before afternoon dismissal begins.
Pre-K through second-grade students who are single-car riders will be picked up along Mojave Street, while third through fifth-grade car riders and students leaving with siblings or relatives will be picked up along Laredo Drive. Walkers in Pre-K through fifth grade will dismiss on Mojave Street. Buses, including RISE transportation, will use Laredo Drive.
Both Mojave Street and Laredo Drive will operate one-way during dismissal, and families are asked to follow posted no-parking signs and staff directions. The church and staff parking lots should not be used for student pickup.
Until official pickup cards are distributed, parents should make a temporary dashboard card showing their child’s first and last name and grade level in large, easy-to-read lettering.
A little preparation before pickup can help keep the line moving and, more importantly, help every Bronco get where they need to go safely.
