Western Hills High School is alive with Cougar pride as Homecoming Week 2025 gets underway. Students, families, and alumni are invited to join a full lineup of spirited events designed to celebrate tradition, community, and school pride.
Spirit Week Dress-Up Days
Each day offers a chance for students to show creativity and energy:
- Monday, Sept. 29 โ Twin Day
- Tuesday, Sept. 30 โ Destination Day (Seniors: Fiji, Juniors: Brazil, Sophomores: Paris, Freshmen: Mexico)
- Wednesday, Oct. 1 โ Parade Day (Green and Gold, mums, garters, and Cougar spirit gear)
- Thursday, Oct. 2 โ Class Color Wars (Seniors: White, Juniors: Black, Sophomores: Green, Freshmen: Gold)
- Friday, Oct. 3 โ White Lies and Game Day (mums, garters, and Cougar game attire)
Homecoming Parade
- Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2:00โ2:45 p.m.
The parade will roll down Chapin Road, starting at Leonard Middle School and finishing at Western Hills High. Students, clubs, and teams will showcase their spirit while the community lines the streets to cheer them on.
Meet the Cougars
- Wednesday, Oct. 1, 4:00โ5:30 p.m.
The football field will host an afternoon of celebration with food trucks, Kona Ice, and free hot dogs for the first 300 guests. It is a chance to meet the players and show support ahead of Fridayโs game.
Homecoming Dance
- Saturday, Oct. 4, 7:00โ10:00 p.m.
Students can cap off the week with the annual dance in the WHHS cafeteria. Tickets are $15 and available from Mr. Hickox in the office. The semi-formal event will feature food and drinks sold by the WHHS Band.
Lunchtime Activities
To keep the energy high, themed activities are planned throughout the week:
- Monday โ Duct Tape the Principal ($1 = 3 strips of tape)
- Tuesday โ Minute to Win It Games and Kona Ice
- Wednesday โ Parade replaces lunch events
- Thursday โ Bingo with prizes
- Friday โ Karaoke
From dressing up in theme attire to taping the principal to the wall, Homecoming Week offers something for everyone. With a parade, football celebration, and dance to round things out, the Cougars are set to make this yearโs festivities unforgettable.
