Western Hills Cougars Close Out Fall Baseball Season Strong.

The Western Hills High School Cougars capped off their fall baseball season with an impressive 3-0-2 record, showcasing a blend of veteran leadership and rising young talent that sets the stage for a promising spring.

On the mound, Axel Sanchez and Rodolfo Sandoval led the charge, racking up more than 20 strikeouts in just 10 innings. At the plate, junior De’Anthony Monroe delivered a breakout performance with 8 RBIs, earning his spot as the team’s new leadoff hitter. Freshman Dante Mendoza also made his mark, standing out both defensively and offensively as one to watch in the years ahead.

The team credits Coach Moilan for his steady leadership and support of multisport athletes, as well as Mrs. Sisk for coordinating a much-appreciated district cleanup that left the baseball facilities in top shape.

Looking ahead, the Cougars are keeping the competitive spirit alive with a staff and student pickleball tournament on November 8. Players can sign up in Mr. Hickox’s office to join in the fun.

With strong momentum and a unified team culture, Western Hills baseball is heading into the spring season with plenty to look forward to.
