Western Hills Cougar Closet Seeks Clothing and Shoe Donations.

It is easy to forget how much confidence can come from something as simple as a clean polo or a good pair of shoes.

At Western Hills High School, the Cougar Closet quietly fills that gap, helping students show up ready to learn without worrying about what they are wearing.

Right now, the Cougar Closet needs specific items, and the request is straightforward. New or gently used donations are welcome.

For clothing, the greatest needs include boys’ polos in small, large, and extra large. Girls’ solid tees in large and extra large are also needed, along with girls’ jeans in pant sizes 12, 14, and 16. Additional requests include girls’ jeans in waist sizes 31, 32, and any size above 35, plus girls’ zip-up jackets in medium and extra large.

Shoes are another pressing need. Boys’ athletic shoes are requested in sizes 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5, 12, 13, and 14. Girls’ athletic shoes are needed in sizes 5.5, 6, 6.5, and 8.5.

School closets like this one often operate behind the scenes, supported by neighbors who understand that a small act of generosity can make a big difference in a teenager’s day. The Cougar Closet team has indicated that additional needs may be identified in the coming weeks.

In a community that often rallies around its schools, this is another simple way to stand in the gap and remind students that they are seen, supported, and not alone.
