A rainy Saturday morning forced a late change of plans for a local volunteer workday in Benbrook.
Organizers initially pushed the start time back to 11 a.m. in the hope of letting the showers clear, but as the morning progressed, the number of volunteers able to attend dropped significantly.
With that, today’s efforts were officially canceled. Organizers expressed gratitude for the community’s understanding and patience, noting that while some tasks could have gone on, it wouldn’t have been the same without enough hands on deck.
If the workday is rescheduled, new details will be shared. For now, organizers are encouraging everyone to enjoy the long holiday break and make the most of the Labor Day weekend.
