Benbrook runners and neighbors will be up bright and early for Ventana’s Sixth Annual Turkey Trot, a tradition that blends fun, fitness, and a chance to give back.
This year’s event once again supports the Stay in the Fight Veterans Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to helping veterans access resources, programs, and support after their service. Learn more about the foundation at https://stayinthefightveteransfoundation.org/.
The morning will start with complimentary snacks and treats from Cooking with Kitty, along with coffee and tea provided by Starbucks of Benbrook. Festive outfits are encouraged, so expect to see plenty of turkey hats and holiday-themed runners along the course.
The event will take place at the Ventana HOA, 10327 Trail Ridge Dr., with race-day packet pickup beginning at 8:00 a.m. The one-mile fun run starts at 8:45, followed by the 5K at 9:00.
Registration is $25 online through November 26 for either race, or $30 on race day. The first 100 runners to register will receive an event shirt, with youth sizes available only through early registration. Any leftover shirts will be handed out after the 5K begins.
It is a simple, neighborly way to kick off the holiday season while supporting a mission that matters.
