Texas hunters are heading into the 2026-27 season with a growing white-tailed deer population and promising conditions for antler growth.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department estimates the statewide herd has reached 5.64 million deer. TPWD is also forecasting above-average antler growth this season.
