If you’re looking for a reason to satisfy your sweet tooth this weekend, you’ll also have the chance to support local teachers.
Just minutes west of Benbrook in the Ventana neighborhood, the third annual community bake sale returns Saturday, August 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 10204 Claire Creek Road.
Every purchase helps fund classroom wish lists for teachers in the community, giving them extra resources as they prepare for the new school year.
The bake sale will feature a variety of homemade favorites, including lemon bars, brownies, Chex Mix, Rice Krispy treats, cake pops, and more.
Organizers recently announced a change to the event hours and say they’re hard at work baking for the weekend.
