Storytime Makes Room for Every Little Reader.

Storytime does not have to mean sitting perfectly still, and the Benbrook Public Library is making sure more local children have a place to enjoy it.

The library’s monthly Neurodivergent Storytime returns Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 9:30 to 10 a.m. for children ages 0 to 5. The smaller-group program moves at a slower pace, with sensory toys, room to move around, and time for children to play and socialize.

Doors open at 9:15 a.m., giving families extra time to come in, get comfortable, and settle before storytime begins. Because of varying food sensitivities, no food or beverages will be allowed during the program.

Registration is required, and attendance is limited to help keep the environment from becoming overwhelming. Families can register and find other library events.
