School Parade to Temporarily Close Benbrook Streets Friday.

Drivers near BASIS Benbrook may want to give themselves a few extra minutes Friday afternoon.

Several streets behind the Benbrook Walmart and in front of BASIS Benbrook will temporarily close beginning at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, for a school parade. The closures are expected to last about 30 to 45 minutes.

The parade route includes Vista Way, Stratford Drive, Inwood Street and Bluffside Trail. Benbrook Police also expects additional vehicle and foot traffic in the area beginning around 12:30 p.m.

Drivers can use Benbrook Boulevard to avoid Vista Way. Those traveling south from Vista Way can take Sterling Drive to Sexton Drive, then Westpark Drive. Northbound traffic can use the same route in reverse.

All streets will reopen once the parade concludes. For questions, contact Benbrook Police Commander Martin at 817-249-6072.
