Starting a new school year can feel like a big step for both children and parents. This summer, families with incoming Pre-K and kindergarten students at Rolling Hills Elementary will have a chance to make that transition a little easier.
Rolling Hills families are hosting two summer play dates at Rolling Hills Park, giving students an opportunity to meet future classmates while parents connect with one another before the first day of school.
The gatherings will take place at Rolling Hills Park, 6970 Rolling Hills Drive.
The first play date is scheduled for June 26, with Pre-K students meeting at 9 a.m. and kindergarten students at 10 a.m.
A second play date will be held July 18, with kindergarten students meeting at 9 a.m. and Pre-K students at 10 a.m.
Organizers say all incoming Rolling Hills Elementary Pre-K and kindergarten families are welcome. In addition to helping children make new friends, the events offer parents a chance to meet experienced school families and build connections before the school year begins.
For families new to Rolling Hills, it is a simple way to put faces to names, ask questions, and start the school year with a few familiar friends already in place.
