Rolling Hills Elementary 5th graders took center stage with I’m Gonna Let It Shine, a powerful tribute to the Civil Rights Movement in honor of Black History Month.

The student-led program highlighted the voices of freedom that shaped the 1950s and 1960s, teaching scholars the significance of equality and justice for all. With heartfelt performances, they sang classics like Get On Board, Calypso Freedom, This Little Light of Mine, and We Shall Overcome, culminating in a show-stopping finale of All Jazzed Up that brought the audience to its feet.
Much of the choreography was student-created, a testament to their dedication and creativity. After two months of preparation, their hard work paid off with an inspiring and unforgettable performance, met with enthusiastic applause from family, friends, and the community.
