Rain Leaves Trinity Estates Neighbors Picking Up Construction Trash.

•

After this week’s heavy rain, some Trinity Estates residents say their yard cleanup includes more than fallen leaves and storm debris.

Resident Christopher Gallegos says Thursday’s downpour scattered trash from the nearby Sandlin Homes construction site into surrounding areas, leaving him and his neighbors to pick it up.

Gallegos said the problem is not limited to the latest storm. He says loose construction-site trash regularly blows into his yard and alleges that discarded beer cans and bottles have also been buried at the site.

“Both the City and developer Sandlin Homes for Trinity Estates’ already controversial Phase III have done nothing to address trash being blown off their site into the adjoining neighborhoods,” Gallegos wrote.

The comments and photos represent Gallegos’ account. The material provided does not include a response from Sandlin Homes or the City of Benbrook regarding the concerns.
