BENBROOK, TX — James William Barr Jr., known to many as Jim, passed away on December 14, 2025, in Fort Worth following a brief illness. He was 79.
Jim was born on September 20, 1946, in Birmingham, Alabama. Those closest to him say the defining honor of his life was his faith in Jesus Christ, which shaped how he lived and loved others. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Benbrook, where he regularly attended and found community.
