Benbrook, Texas – February 2025 – Fort Worth continues to expand its green space, securing two new parks in north Fort Worth through a $3 million city purchase and a developer donation.
While these additions focus on the Marine Creek Ranch and Bridgeview neighborhoods, the city’s larger conservation efforts also extend to Benbrook, enhancing recreational access for local residents.
The future Paloma Park in Marine Creek Ranch was acquired for $2.99 million, including a 3.82-acre donation. The 11-acre park addresses a shortage of recreational space in the area, with funding drawn from the city’s 2025 budget.
Meanwhile, Bridgeview Park will add 6.3 acres, with the developer funding $495,750 worth of amenities, including trails, a playground, picnic areas, and 60 new trees.
These additions contribute to Fort Worth’s Open Space Conservation Program, aligning with the city’s goal to preserve 10,000 acres of open land by 2028. Recent land acquisitions have focused on expanding Tinsley Ranch Park (300 acres), a west Fort Worth park near Lake Worth (152.5 acres), and a new 38.2-acre park near Benbrook Lake.
For Benbrook residents, these ongoing efforts mean greater outdoor access, environmental preservation, and a commitment to balancing development with nature, ensuring local communities continue to thrive alongside the city’s growth.
