Western Hills High School is bringing fresh energy to Cougar Country with three new additions to its coaching staff.
Coach Sandy Lopez joins as the new assistant softball coach after coaching at Angelina College in Lufkin. Her experience at the college level is expected to strengthen the program both on and off the field.
Coach Blake Ellis steps in as an assistant football and soccer coach, coming from Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD. He’ll lead the slot receivers and serve in the CTE Department.
Rounding out the new team is Coach Rob Lizcano, who will take on assistant coaching roles in football and baseball. He brings a strong defensive background and will serve as the Special Teams Coordinator while coaching the safeties.
Benbrook, let’s give a warm welcome to all three coaches as they get to work shaping the next generation of Cougar athletes.
