A new chapter in senior care is unfolding just down the road from Stones Throw. Serenity View Assisted Living and Memory Care, now under construction on the former Café 11 site off Highway 1187, is set to open its first 16-room community in early 2026.
Led by Amar and Dr. Tas Akram, Serenity View will offer a physician-led, integrative approach to assisted living and memory care on a five-acre property. The facility promises a blend of personalized care and home-like comfort, featuring private rooms, 24/7 caregiver support, medication management, gourmet meals, and inviting spaces for residents to connect and relax.
Dr. Akram, a Family Medicine physician with extensive experience in senior and integrative care, will personally oversee residents’ medical needs and medication management. Future plans include expanding Serenity View with two additional communities on the property.
Community members are already expressing excitement about the project, citing the need for more compassionate, high-quality senior care options in the Benbrook area. A grand opening is tentatively planned for March 2026, with caregiver positions opening in January.
