Benbrook city crews will be spraying for mosquitoes around the 8400 block of Arroyo Lane starting at 11 PM on Wednesday, August 20, and finishing by 6 AM on Thursday, August 21, weather permitting.
The spray zone covers roughly Team Ranch Road to the north, I-20 service road to the south, Loop 820 to the west, and Benbrook Blvd to the east. Spraying will stay within city limits.
This follows a confirmed positive test for West Nile Virus in a mosquito collected by Tarrant County Public Health. The pesticide used is safe for people and pets, but minimizing exposure is recommended.
Residents are encouraged to protect themselves by removing standing water, using insect repellent, and wearing long sleeves and pants, especially from dusk to dawn when mosquitoes are most active.
