A child who was found alone in Benbrook on Wednesday afternoon has been safely reunited with his family.
Earlier reports shared on social media indicated the boy, believed to be around 5 or 6 years old and described as nonverbal, was found near Jakes Burgers. He was taken to the Benbrook Police Department while officers worked to locate his parents.
As of 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, the child had been reunited with his family.
It’s a welcome ending to what could have been a frightening afternoon, thanks to the quick actions of those who found the child and the responding officers who helped bring the family back together.
