Last weekend, the Benbrook Middle-High School Boys Soccer stepped up as a host site for the FWISD Showcase Soccer Tournament, and it took more than goals and game plans to pull it off. Behind the scenes, local businesses showed up in a big way to help keep the tournament running smoothly from start to finish.
Coaches, officials, and bus drivers were fueled all three days thanks to generous support from Eagle Donuts, 5 AM Donuts, Berry Donuts, and K Donuts, who made sure no one went hungry during long days at the fields. A special thanks also goes to Benbrook Walmart for donating water and snacks that helped keep everyone energized through the Texas winter chill.
Hosting a district-wide tournament is no small task, and this weekend was a reminder that Bobcat athletics are backed by a community that knows how to show up. From kickoff to the final whistle, Benbrook businesses played a key role in making the FWISD tournament a success.
