There’s something satisfying about turning fresh ingredients into something that lasts.
Later this month, Stone’s Throw Farm Co. is inviting community members to slow down, learn a new skill, and enjoy an afternoon on the farm during a hands-on canning class focused on homemade pickles and jams.
The class will be led by Trish Stone on Saturday, June 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. Participants will learn the basics of making and preserving pickles and jams, meet fellow food enthusiasts, and take home both a jar of pickles and a jar of jam.
The $45 class fee also includes snacks and drinks.
Whether you’re an experienced gardener looking to preserve a harvest or simply curious about traditional food preservation, the class offers a chance to learn practical skills in a relaxed, social setting.
Space is limited, and organizers encourage those interested to contact Stone’s Throw Farm Co. to reserve a spot.
Sometimes the best summer activities are the ones that teach you something new and leave you with a tasty reminder to take home.
