Lady Cougars Softball Roll Past Ranchview in Statement Win.

A long bus ride to Carrollton did little to slow down the Lady Cougars softball team Friday night.

Western Hills arrived focused and left with a commanding 14 1 victory over Ranchview High School, setting the tone early and never looking back.

Senior Addison Dudley led from the circle and the batter’s box. She struck out nine, allowed no hits, and gave up zero earned runs in a dominant pitching performance. At the plate, she went two for two with a double and a single, drove in three runs, drew a walk, and added two stolen bases.

Senior Sophia Castellanos brought speed and pressure to the game. She went one for two with a double and a walk, stole four bases, and scored three runs, keeping Ranchview on its heels all night.

The Lady Cougars return to action at 7 pm in Irving against MacArthur High School as they continue what looks to be a promising 2026 season. Early results show a team playing with confidence, chemistry, and a clear sense of purpose.
