The Benbrook Lady Bobcats showed no signs of slowing down Tuesday night, delivering a dominant 11-0 win over the Western Hills Lady Cougars in a crosstown rivalry match.
Benbrook controlled the pace from the opening whistle, firing on all cylinders offensively while posting its third straight shutout on the defensive end. The performance kept the Lady Bobcats unbeaten in district play and firmly in first place.
Sydney Chavez led the charge with four goals and an assist, marking a historic milestone in the process. The senior, recently committed to the University of the Ozarks, scored the 100th goal of her Benbrook career, further cementing her place in the programโs record book.
Randee Slater followed with three goals and an assist and was named Benbrook player of the match. Grace Klaerner added three goals, while Katelyn Chaparro and Fiona Chan each found the net once. Eleanor Vazquez and Lexi Garcia chipped in assists.
The win pushed Benbrook to 8-3-1 overall and 3-0 in district play. Western Hills dropped to 1-13 on the season and 1-2 in district action.
The Lady Bobcats return home Friday night to host the Eastern Hills Lady Highlanders at 8 pm in another key district matchup.
