The Lady Bobcats golf team wasted no time making a statement to open the season.
Competing against several of the top teams in the state, the girls battled their way to a third place team finish with an overall score of 740, closing the round at plus 75. It was an early test, and they answered it with poise.
Leading the charge was Avery Glanzer, who turned in an impressive performance to finish second individually. Glanzer posted a 151 overall and wrapped up her round at plus 4, putting herself right in the mix among some of the best golfers in Texas as reigning girls state champion.
It is only the beginning of the season, but this kind of start shows the Lady Bobcats are ready to compete. Benbrook will be watching closely as they tee up for what looks to be a promising year.
