Friday night felt made for soccer, and the Benbrook Lady Bobcats made the most of it. Hosting the Eastern Hills Lady Highlanders, Benbrook delivered a dominant performance on both ends of the field to keep their district run spotless.
The Lady Bobcats jumped out early and never let up, scoring nine times while allowing just one goal. Their defense kept Eastern Hills contained all night, while the attack came from every angle and never slowed.
Sydney and Lily Chavez led the charge with four goals each, setting the tone from start to finish. Randee Slater added a goal of her own, while Sydney Chavez also chipped in three assists. Leah Jimenez tallied two assists, and Lily Chavez, Olivia Zapata, and Grace Klaerner each added one.
The 9–1 win moves Benbrook to 9–3–1 overall, 4–0 in district play, and firmly in first place. The Lady Bobcats now get a few extra days to recharge before heading out to face Young Women’s Leadership Academy next Friday as they continue their push toward an undefeated district title.
