Homeschool students looking to get moving and meet other kids can start a new season soon at the Benbrook Community Center YMCA.
The Y’s next Homeschool P.E. session begins Wednesday, Oct. 14, and runs for six weeks, focused on volleyball. Classes meet Wednesdays from 1 to 2 p.m. and are open to ages 7 to 13.
The program mixes fitness and motor skills with the fundamentals of each sport, giving students time to learn the game, practice teamwork and stay active with other homeschool students.
Registration is $50 for YMCA members and $70 for non-members, with a 10% discount for additional children.
The Benbrook YMCA is located at 1899 Winscott Road. Families can register and view upcoming Homeschool P.E. sessions or email for more information.
After volleyball, upcoming sessions will feature pickleball, basketball, baseball, and flag football.
