Holiday Patrol Push Highlights Road Risks Across Tarrant County.

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office wrapped up its Operation Safe City: Dangerous Roads initiative with a clear reminder of how busy and risky the holiday stretch can be on local roads.

Between December 19 and December 25, deputies conducted 307 traffic stops across the county. During that same period, they responded to 35 crashes, including 15 classified as major, 10 as minor, and four as hit-and-run. Officers also issued 15 citations as part of the effort.

The increased patrols were aimed at reducing dangerous driving behaviors during one of the most traveled weeks of the year. Officials say the operation reflects an ongoing commitment to keeping Tarrant County roads safer for families, commuters, and holiday travelers alike.

As traffic continues to pick up around weekends and holidays, residents are encouraged to slow down, stay alert, and look out for one another on the road.
