Benbrook, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is urging residents to stay alert as wildfire risk climbs across much of Texas due to high winds and dry conditions.
In a social media update, TxDOT shared essential tips to help prevent accidental fires and keep communities safe.
To minimize risks, residents are advised to keep vehicles off dry grass, avoid activities involving open flames or sparks, and ensure tow chains do not drag on the road. Having an emergency plan and following instructions from local officials are also strongly recommended.
