If you have been craving real barbecue without the long drive, mark your calendar.
Heim is rolling out a new concept, Heim Pig Stand, on March 4 at 9912 Camp Bowie West Boulevard in Fort Worth, just minutes from Benbrook.
The food truck will set up near the spot locals know from Dayne’s former Friday burger runs, close to the fictional Patch Cafe location made popular by Landman.
The menu keeps things simple. Guests can choose chopped beef or pulled pork, served with potato salad or coleslaw, banana pudding, and a drink for $13 plus tax.
That is the entire lineup. No extras, no complicated options, just smoked meat done right.
For Benbrook residents who appreciate a good plate of barbecue and do not need another chicken or taco chain in the mix, this is a nearby addition worth checking out. Come hungry.
