That stack of old documents sitting in a drawer or box finally has a place to go.
Tarrant County Precinct 2, led by Commissioner Alisa Simmons, is hosting a Free Community Shred Day on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Tarrant County Sub-Courthouse, 1100 E. Broad St. in Mansfield.
Residents can bring personal papers for secure, eco-friendly shredding. Accepted items include canceled checks, medical records, credit card offers, past utility bills, old tax returns, and junk mail.
A few limits apply. No electronics will be accepted, and each household may bring up to two boxes.
The event is part of an ongoing effort to help protect personal information while reducing paper waste. It is held in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Alpha Beta Phi Omega Chapter.
Bring whatโs been piling up and take care of it in one stop.
