It was a proud morning last week at Western Hills High School as students and staff welcomed back one of their own, General Michael E. Langley, for a special visit with the school’s football team and JROTC cadets.
The distinguished Marine Corps General, who once walked the same halls as these students, took time to share in conversation and answer questions that left a lasting impression on those in attendance.
In a full-circle moment, the school also captured a long-awaited photo of General Langley beside his honorary street sign, a reminder of his roots and legacy as a Western Hills Cougar.
School leaders say they hope to see him return again soon, inspiring the next generation to aim high and lead with purpose.
