FORT WORTH, TX – Fort Worth ISD is launching its inaugural districtwide Parent-Teacher Conference Day on Feb. 17, a major step toward strengthening school-family partnerships and boosting student success.
Previously left to individual campuses, parent-teacher meetings will now follow a unified approach across the district. Elementary school parents can schedule one-on-one conferences, while secondary schools will prioritize students needing academic support.
The initiative aligns with Fort Worth ISD’s renewed commitment to advocacy, engagement, and two-way communication. With nearly 70,000 students, district leaders acknowledge the need for ongoing efforts beyond a single day but see this as a starting point for deeper collaboration.
To maximize impact, parents will receive detailed progress reports and guidance on supporting their child’s learning. The district urges families to stay tuned for scheduling details from their child’s school.
