The Fort Worth City Council approved the annexation of 402.45 acres from Parker County, including 377.6 acres in the Walsh development.
This expansion, aimed at supporting residential growth, is expected to generate $5.5 million in tax revenue within five years. The land will be developed for single-family homes, with the city providing services like police, fire, and parks.
The Walsh development, once a ranch, has been gradually annexed since 2003 and is part of a larger growth plan for the area.
