Benbrook families looking for a relaxed place to watch the Super Bowl have a local option this Sunday at VFW Post 8235.
The community gathering runs from 4 to 9 pm and features good food, friendly competition, and a welcoming atmosphere for all ages.
Football kicks off at 5:30 pm, with a halftime raffle offering a chance to win a crisp one-hundred-dollar bill. Kids and adults alike can enjoy cornhole outside, weather permitting, while the game plays on inside. The event leans into simple comforts, including chips and dip, barbecue wieners, chicken wings prepared by Yolonda and provided by Martha, and free coffee throughout the evening.
Affordable bites are part of the appeal, with a five-dollar burger and fries basket, drink specials, and cold draft beer on tap. Guests are welcome to bring a snack or dessert to share, but the main invitation is simply to show up and enjoy the night together.
The Super Bowl watch party takes place Sunday, February 8, at VFW Post 8235 from 4 to 9 pm and is open to the community.
