A quiet stop at the QT near McCart and I-20 turned into a chaotic scene Tuesday afternoon as a driver slammed into multiple vehicles and struck a pedestrian in the parking lot.
Eyewitnesses say the suspect, behind the wheel of a blue Chevy Malibu, appeared erratic and aggressive, ramming into a Ford pickup and then reportedly running over the same man twice, leaving him pinned under the car.
The man hit appeared to be a blue-collar worker, possibly in his late 30s or early 40s. The driver, described by witnesses as possibly under the influence, eventually crashed into the bushes before being stopped.
