If you’ve got a gently used suitcase or backpack collecting dust in your closet, here’s your chance to turn it into something meaningful.
Many children in the foster care system move from place to place with nothing more than a trash bag to hold their belongings. But you can help change that.
The Fort Worth Community Collaborative, in partnership with ACH Child and Family Services, is collecting donated bags and getting them directly into the hands of kids who need them. And for Benbrook residents, donating couldn’t be easier.
Just drop your items off at the Benbrook Public Library, located at 1065 Mercedes Street. They’ve teamed up to serve as a collection point, making it simple for the community to give back.
If you have questions or want to double-check what’s needed, you can visit the library’s website at benbrooklibrary.org, email reference@benbrooklibrary.org, or call 817-249-6632.
It’s a small gesture that can make a big difference.
