Crash Causes Major Backups on I-20 Near Benbrook.

If you were heading east on I-20 late this afternoon, you probably hit the wall of traffic just before the 820 merge and Exit 429 into Benbrook.

Around 4 PM, a semi and a sedan collided, leaving one vehicle with serious damage, and the roadway was backed up for miles.

Benbrook Police and Fire crews were quick to respond and are still on scene. Details about injuries haven’t been released yet, and traffic is still a mess in that area. Drivers are being urged to take alternative routes until the scene is cleared and traffic resumes.
