The Western Hills Cougars may have set the bar high after their previous 12-goal victory over the Young Men’s Leadership Academy, but this time, they had to rely on defense to seal the win.
Despite not matching their previous offensive fireworks, the Cougars dominated defensively to shut out YWLA 2-0.
This win, their first at home, improves their record to 2-3-2 for the season and 1-0 in district play, placing them 3rd in the district standings.
Next up, the Cougars will host the Eastern Hills Highlanders in another district matchup at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31st. Come out and support your Cougars as they look to keep the momentum going!
