The Western Hills Cougars stayed hot Friday morning, taking the soccer field at 10:45 a.m. with momentum on their side and leaving with another convincing win.
The Cougars controlled the match from start to finish, pairing steady defense with timely scoring to pull away from the Burkburnett Bulldogs for a 4–1 victory. The Cougars looked confident and composed, building on the rhythm they found earlier in the tournament.
The win gives the Western Hills Cougars back-to-back victories in tourney play and pushes their season record to 2–1. With little time to slow down, the Cougars will turn their attention to a quick turnaround matchup against Azle at 9:45 a.m. tomorrow.
